Eco-Builders design buildings that minimise their impact on the environment, both in terms of the materials and construction techniques used, and in terms of aesthetics and energy performance. Eco-Builders are instrumental in promoting sustainable construction practices throughout the EU.
Their responsibilities focus on: sustainable construction techniques, integration of renewable energy into buildings, and compliance with local and EU environmental regulations.
Proficiency in the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling) software and other energy modelling tools for the design of sustainable buildings;
In-depth knowledge of sustainable materials, construction techniques that minimise the energy required during both construction and use of the building;
Ability to incorporate renewable energy solutions such as solar photovoltaic systems, wind power, and geothermal solutions in buildings.
Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams, often composed of architects, engineers, environmental consultants and other professionals;
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to different stakeholders, including government institutions, private clients and the community;
Flexibility to adapt to new technologies, materials and regulations emerging in the field of sustainable construction
Ability to solve complex problems that may arise during the design and implementation of sustainable construction projects, finding solutions that balance cost, environmental impacts and client needs.
