Description of main activities and responsibilities:

Recyclers are responsible for waste management and recycling. Specifically, they supervise and coordinate waste collection, separation and recycling activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance with environmental regulations. Ideally, participating in the research and development of new technologies and methods to improve recycling and waste reduction processes.

General Framework

Environmental policies and regulations: Understanding of local and international laws concerning waste management and recycling, including EU standards and national specifications;

Environmental impact of waste materials: Understanding of the environmental impacts associated with various waste materials, including greenhouse gas emissions, soil and water pollution, and effects on biodiversity;

Sustainable consumption and production trends: Understanding current trends in consumption and production that influence waste generation, such as the growing interest in biodegradable and compostable products.

Technical And Specific Framework

Recycling Technologies

Knowledge of the technologies and equipment used in recycling, including advanced sorting systems and waste processing techniques;

Materials analysis

Knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of different recyclable materials, such as plastics, glass, metals and paper

Development of products from recycled materials

Ability to develop new products using recycled materials, thus promoting innovation and adding value to waste materials

Reverse logistics

Knowledge of reverse logistics required to recover products and materials from end consumers in order to return them to the production or recycling cycle.

Attitude Skills

Ability in leadership and motivation of teams in high-intensity work environments and in recycling operations;

Ability to clearly and persuasively communicate recycling practices and environmental benefits to a diverse audience, including non-experts;

Skills in rapidly adapting to new regulations, technologies and market conditions;

Ability to identify operational problems and develop innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of recycling processes.
